Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved the delegation for peace talks with Russia, appointing NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov as head of the group.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed Decree No. 539, officially approving the composition of the Ukrainian delegation tasked with engaging in peace negotiations with representatives of the Russian Federation, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to the official presidential website.

The delegation will be led by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov. He previously headed the Ukrainian side during earlier negotiation rounds with Russia held in Istanbul on May 16 and June 2, when he was also serving as the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

The delegation includes officials from various state institutions, such as the Presidential Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Armed Forces of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, intelligence services, and other bodies.
