U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not participate in his upcoming talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, scheduled for August 15 in Alaska, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to “European Pravda.”

When asked whether Zelensky would attend the meeting, Trump replied: “He was not on the list of participants.” He also emphasized that although Zelensky could have come, he had already attended many meetings over the past three and a half years, and “nothing has changed.”

Trump expressed confidence that he would be able to tell within the first few minutes of his meeting with Putin whether an agreement could be reached. He also suggested that future talks might involve either a direct meeting between Zelensky and Putin or a trilateral discussion with his participation. In conclusion, Trump stated that eventually, he would “put them both (Putin and Zelensky) in one room… and everything will be decided.”
