The American edition of The New York Times published an article saying that the head of the Kremlin is sending signals to the West about the Russian Federation’s readiness to stop firing in Ukraine, reports “ NBN.”

ISW analysts, commenting on the journalists’ material in their report, recalled that the leader of the Russians is not seriously interested in ending the war, except after the complete victory of his country. With such statements, Putin wants to redirect the West’s attention to a hypothetical negotiation process with Kiev.

Experts explained that in this way Putin is trying to create obstacles for Ukraine to receive military assistance from allied states before a counter-offensive in the spring-summer period.

The Institute for the Study of War admits that Moscow is using hidden channels to achieve its goal amid debates in Western countries regarding continued support for Ukraine.

Recall that American analysts explained what the end of the war threatens Ukraine with assistance from partners.
