The head of the government of the German state of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, spoke about negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The politician believes that Kiev could make concessions to Moscow for the sake of a truce.
The Prime Minister of Saxony believes that Berlin should not only provide military assistance to Ukraine, but also, together with other allies, influence the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin and make it possible to stop fire.
NBN reports this with reference to the German publication Spiegel.
At the same time, Kretschmer believes that Kiev must come to terms with the temporary loss of territories, which, according to him, , never became Russian. According to the German politician, “as in other big wars, the time has come for a final decision.”
The head of the government of the German state of Saxony believes that Berlin should make a U-turn in its policy towards the Russian Federation. Kretschmer believes that the idea of weakening the aggressor country in the military, economic and political spheres so that it no longer poses a threat to Europe is “a vision from the 19th century.” The politician is convinced that this allegedly lays the foundation for new conflicts.
Recall that earlier the Prime Minister of Saxony praised German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for delaying the transfer of Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv and called for “freezing” the war in Ukraine.
