Sheitelman recalled that last year, in his New Year’s speech, the head of the Kremlin seemed to be explaining something to citizens for almost ten minutes, setting some tasks, etc. At the same time, Putin’s last address was unclear and banal.

Informs about this  “NBN” with reference to “Channel 24”.

The analyst suggests that the text of the New Year's address of the aggressor president is the result of a compromise between different forces in the Kremlin or the dictator's entourage, some of which want the head of state to spoke about the war, and the other – for Putin to remain silent about it.

The political strategist noted that two hours after Putin’s New Year’s speech was made public, a festive speech by Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev appeared.

The expert drew attention to the fact that, unlike the dictator, the ex-head of Russia spoke both about the so-called “SVO” and about certain geopolitical interests of the aggressor country. Sheitelman believes that in the Kremlin, most likely, someone realized that these topics were missing from Putin’s speech and decided to release an address from his comrade-in-arms.

Putin’s New Year’s speech was previously analyzed by ISW analysts.
