The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named the condition for the mobilization of law enforcement officers

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko spoke about the location of police officers throughout the territory of our country and told under what conditions law enforcement officers will be sent to the front.

On the air of the national telethon, the minister said that until February 24, 2022 in Ukraine, on average, 23-26 police officers were allocated per 10 000 people . Now in the regions liberated from the occupiers there are more than a hundred of them, NBN reports.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that from the Chernihiv region to the Nikolaev region, in the border areas, in the regions where hostilities are taking place, police units are located – 35 000 law enforcement officers. This includes the “Lyut” brigade of the National Police, the number of fighters of which is 5,000 people.

According to the minister, after the start of a full-scale war, the work regime of the police became more stringent, and the number of tasks increased. The functionality of the National Police increased to 80%, while the number of law enforcement officers was not increased.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs answered under what conditions police officers will be sent to the front. Klimenko said that if the situation in the country develops in such a way that law enforcement officers are needed on the battlefield, they will do so.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov spoke about the mobilization of Ukrainians who have gone abroad.
