On the air of the national telethon, the speaker of the operational command “North” said that the Russians are holding 19 000 troops near the borders of the Sumy and Chernihiv regions. This number of troops has not changed for several months, NBN reports.
According to the colonel, it cannot be said that there are signs that the invaders are creating strike groups near the borders of these regions. Povkh explained that the invaders need 19,000 military personnel to cover the border.
The military man added that the defenders who serve on the border line constantly monitor the border and prevent attempts by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to pass through.
