Despite the fact that over the past year the number of registered unemployed in our country decreased by almost 2 times, from 313,800 people (February 2022) to 150,000 people, the real figures differ markedly from the official statistics.
The fact that as of December last year, the actual level of the number of unemployed has almost doubled, if we compare with ;2021, writes NBN, referring to the statement of the head of the parliamentary committee on issues of finance, tax and customs policy, Daniil Getmantsev, published in RBC-Ukraine.
According to Getmantsev, official statistics regarding registered unemployment, according to research by the International Labor Organization, show only 19 percent of the total population, but this is 2 times more than it was in 2021 year, not even counting those citizens who avoid mobilization after registering with Employment Centers.
In particular, the recorded increase in unemployment rates will soon lead to the total impoverishment of Ukrainians, which, according to the head of the tax committee, is a standard reality against the backdrop of hostilities, given the scale of the war, comparable to the Second World War.
Getmantsev emphasized:
War is a period when everyone gets poorer. Because of the war, our unemployment and poverty levels have increased significantly. This is absolutely predictable.
Earlier, we wrote about how Getmantsev reacted to rumors about the introduction of taxation at 18% of any transfer of funds to accounts.
