During a press conference with the head of Lithuania, the guarantor said that based on the results of the Washington NATO summit, Ukraine wants to take at least one step towards integration into the Alliance and increase the number of air defense systems, NBN reports.

The Ukrainian leader clarified that Kyiv’s expectations from the summit are to receive “two specific things” — political and defense decisions. Zelensky expects that Ukraine will be provided with the amount of air defense weapons and missiles it needs, which will allow defenders to fight against the ballistics of the Russian Armed Forces.

The guarantor also added that our country would like to receive at least one concrete step towards membership in the Alliance. In turn, Lithuanian leader Gitanas Nausėda said that in order for Ukraine to receive the appropriate signal from the organization, it needs a successful national program that will demonstrate its desire to be part of NATO.

Zelensky also spoke about “freezing” military operations. The President spoke about what Ukraine's partners should take into account when considering such a war scenario.
