The European Union is currently not discussing a strategy for returning Ukrainian refugees home.

In particular, as NBN reports with reference to Ukrinform, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Jose Manuel Albarez Bueno, made a statement about this.

Verbatim from a statement by Bueno, who answered the question about creating a mechanism to encourage Ukrainian refugees to return home:

In Europe they are not yet thinking about this. Because we are focused on the immediate needs of the war and providing people with asylum.

According to the belief of the Minister from Spain, provided that the war ends in the foreseeable future, refugees from the Ukrainian state “will want to return to their own country if they will have that choice.”

According to him, there are currently about two hundred thousand refugees in Spain.

Recall that we previously wrote that Ireland will reduce support for Ukrainian refugees.
