As NBN reports, this statement was made by the Prime Minister of Ukraine during a joint briefing with his Polish colleague Donald Tusk, who arrived in Kiev today.

I voiced a proposal to the Prime Minister to study the possibility of Polish participation in the construction of the Krakovets – Lviv – Brody – Rivne highway. This autobahn will become a continuation of the longest highway in Poland, A4, which is also a continuation and part of the pan-European corridor E40, Shmyhal said.

According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister, such a project could become a success story for both Ukraine and Poland.

Today, road M leads from Krakovets to Lviv -10 with a length of 60 kilometers, and from Lviv to Rivne – 211 km along the M-06 highway.

The construction of a new toll road along the Krakovets-Rivne route was intended to begin in 2022. Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers reported that thanks to the autobahn, the time in which drivers will be able to cover the route may be reduced from 4 hours 20 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes. The road is designed for a speed of 130 km/h.

In accordance with the law, concession roads must run parallel to existing ones so that drivers have the right to choose: to travel on a toll road or a free one.

According to Shmygal , Ukraine also proposes to Poland to build four additional border checkpoints. As of today, there are 14 of them.

Remember that we previously wrote about the negotiations between Tusk and Zelensky.
