The Foreign Ministry responded to Fico’s scandalous statement about a “compromise” between Ukraine and the Russian Federation

The head of the Slovak government, Robert Fico, stated the need for a “compromise” between Ukraine and Russia to end the war. The politician said that Kyiv should give up the occupied regions to the terrorist state. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the scandalous statements of the Prime Minister.

The Slovak Prime Minister is convinced that the troops of the Russian Federation will not leave Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk regions. According to him, therefore, a “compromise” is needed to end the war – Kiev supposedly must “give up” the occupied regions to the occupiers, NBN reports.

Speaker of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko responded to the scandalous statements on his Facebook page Fico. The diplomat wrote that there can be no compromise on the territorial integrity of either our country, or Slovakia, or any other state.

The Foreign Ministry representative emphasized that Kiev and its allies are making every effort to ensure that the Kremlin withdraws occupation forces from the territory Crimean peninsula, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and so that they do not go further, in particular to Slovak soil.

The speaker of the department added that without security in our country there will be no security either in Slovakia or in Europe, therefore we have common the efforts of the state should bring closer the victory of Ukrainians in the war with the Russian Federation.

Note that Fico also announced his intention to block the integration of our country into NATO.
