At a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, the head of the Latvian Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that Ukraine can receive the million ammunition promised by the European Union before this spring.

NBN reports this with reference to the press service of the Latvian Foreign Ministry.

The diplomat called for the purchase of a million shells for Kiev in countries outside the European Union. The minister believes that such a step will help send the promised ammunition to Ukraine before March.

Karins also stated the need to quickly make a decision on further tools to support Kyiv, emphasizing that this is in the interests of Europe. In particular, according to the head of the Foreign Ministry, the EU should create a Ukrainian fund within the European Fund to continue supporting the country that is fighting the occupiers.

Recall that EU member states want to allocate 50 billion euros to help Ukraine, however, Hungary is blocking this process. A representative of the head of government, Viktor Orban, believes that the EU and Budapest will not be able to agree on the provision of these funds to Kyiv.
