The defenders of the Ukrainian state have moved to a new stage of waging war against the Russian Federation. At the same time, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, voiced his goal.

As NBN reports, in his interview with ZDF, Syrsky noted that Ukrainian soldiers are pursuing a specific goal in the new stage of the war against Russia, and this goal is to exhaust the enemy.
He also explained that the main value for the Ukrainian state is the life of military personnel, especially those who perform combat missions. According to the commander-in-chief, the Ukrainian state cannot afford to act similarly to the Russian Federation and not value the lives of the citizens of our country.
Literally from Syrsky’s statement:
Now we are not conducting offensive operations, but have switched to a defensive operation. Currently, we need to engage in exhaustion of the enemy so that he suffers maximum losses. We do this by using our fortifications, as well as our advantages in technical terms, in terms of unmanned aircraft, electronic warfare, and the maintenance of prepared defense lines.
In addition, Syrsky added that this war increases the importance of technological progress in the armed forces and the progress of armed struggle.
At the same time, Syrsky added:
We already see that the use of ground-based robotic platforms is not news to us. Modules controlled remotely, which allows you to save the lives of military personnel. In other words, the war is entering a new stage.
In the summer of 2023, when Ukrainian soldiers launched a counter-offensive in the south and east of the Ukrainian state, the Armed Forces managed to liberate more than ten settlements in the Zaporozhye region , Donetsk region… However, then it was not possible to achieve the main goal – advancement to the Sea of Azov.
Now the fighters, the defenders of Ukraine are in active defense and, if possible, attack.
