The results of opinion polls show that from May 2022 to December 2023, the rating of citizens' trust in the president decreased from 90% to 77%. By February 2024, trust in Zelensky fell by 12%.

After the guarantor decided to appoint Alexander Syrsky as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and dismiss Zaluzhny, the level of citizens' trust in the president immediately decreased from 65% to 60%.
