On Wednesday, February 7, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading a government draft law, primarily concerning a significant strengthening of the mobilization process and the conscription of 400,000 to 500,000 military personnel into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

NBN writes about the approximate amount of funds that will be spent on carrying out such a tough mobilization if this bill comes into force, citing information voiced by the head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Daniil Getmantsev, during an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Getmantsev, the committee under his control is awaiting final estimates and proposals from the Ministry of Finance and the Cabinet of Ministers, and it is likely that the government of Ukraine will be forced to revise the revenue side of the State Budget, since it is quite difficult to find, even an “approximate” 720 billion hryvnia, “for mobilization within the previously stated parameters.”
The head of the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that now the economic sphere of our country does not have the potential for raising tax rates (for business), because the topic of army financing puts the Cabinet of Ministers in a position “where simple or widely supported solutions do not exist.”
Earlier we wrote that Getmantsev revealed the timing and details of the abolition of the simplified tax systems for individual entrepreneurs.
