ISW analysts in their report drew attention to the comment of the representative of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria” Dmitry Lykhovy. He said that in the Avdeevka area over the past 24 hours the number of attacks by Russian invaders has significantly decreased.

A representative of the Tavria OSGV said that the invaders are now “cleansing” the city and regrouping troops, NBN reports.

After the capture of Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces retreated to a new defense line that had been prepared in advance and fortified at several levels. Therefore, as experts note, Putin’s army will have to take an operational pause in order to continue significant offensives, or transfer additional reinforcements to this front zone from other directions.

The Institute for the Study of War writes that today there are no signs that that the command of the Russian Armed Forces is transferring these reserves to Avdeevka. At the same time, Lykhovy and the press secretary of the OSGV Khortitsa, Captain Ilya Yevlash, believe that the military leadership of the “second army of the world” will soon redistribute forces from this direction to other sectors of the front. This will take the invaders at least two weeks.

Previously, Zelensky named the reasons for the withdrawal of the Defense Forces from Avdiivka.
