Shmygal named the main tasks at the “border” negotiations with Poland

On Tuesday, February 20, Polish protesters not only promised to close all checkpoints near the border for a month, but also began to pour out Ukrainian agricultural products in transit to other countries, which was repeated today, February 23 , and perhaps this controversial issue will be resolved by the governments of the two neighboring states this Friday.

About the fact that An off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers is planned for this pre-weekend day, which will be held on the territory of the Lviv region, writes NBN, referring to the official Telegram channel of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

According to Shmygal, one of the key issues is the current situation at Ukraine’s borders, in particular, border blocking: the government is preparing clear steps and specific proposals regarding resolving the crisis. For example, a “pragmatic dialogue” will be held with the authorities of Poland, providing for “reasonable compromises.”

In addition, Ukraine’s logistics at other points of contact with the EU will be supplemented: a new checkpoint will be opened on the border with  Hungary – “Great Palad-Nagygodos”, which will work for passenger vehicles, helping to reduce queues and speed up the departure of our citizens. Also, the work of the Luzhanka-Beregshuran checkpoint will be intensified—empty trucks will be able to pass through it, eliminating weight restrictions, and passenger and trucks will be allowed to travel with a weight limit of up to 7.5 tons.

Earlier, we wrote about that the Poles again spoiled a cargo of agricultural products from Ukraine.
