As NBN reports with reference to Johnson’s statement to the media, according to him, at the White House he received participation in a joint meeting with all the leaders of Congress, as well as American President Biden.
According to Johnson, at the White House he took part in a joint meeting with all the leaders of Congress, and also spoke separately with Joe Biden.
He noted:
When I came today, my goal was to express what I consider to be an obvious truth. We need to take care of America's needs first. And, first of all, about the American open border.
The Republican named continued funding of the federal government as another priority for the lower house of Congress. He also added that the meeting participants were “very optimistic” and hoped to reach an agreement to prevent a shutdown.
At the end of his statement, Johnson recalled the consideration of a bill on additional funding for Ukraine.
I made it clear to the President of the United States and everyone else who was present that the Chamber is actively exploring all possibilities and options. And we will take up this issue in a timely manner. However, again, the first priority for our country is the border and its security, — Johnson added.
Let us recall that Biden earlier reacted sharply to blocking aid to Ukraine.
