The French authorities support the Czech Republic’s initiative to purchase 800 thousand artillery shells for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Moreover, Paris intends to take a direct part in this.

As NBN reports “with reference to Bloomberg, French President Emmanuel Macron said this.
So, during a meeting with Czech President Petr Pavel, Emmanuel Macron said:
The Czech initiative is very useful. We support her. We will take part in it. This is to look for ammunition wherever it is available and compatible with the equipment we supply.
If we talk about the money that is needed for the purchase of ammunition, Macron said that “this could be a bilateral mobilization, cooperation with third parties, bilateral financing, as well as European financing.”
Finally, he added that the European Peace Fund can also be used for the purchase of ammunition.
We recall that Macron had previously announced that there is an urgent need to step up efforts to help the Ukrainian state.
