How many Ukrainian refugees in Germany intend to return home – opinion poll

More and more Ukrainians who fled to Germany from the war want to stay in this country for a long time. The results of a sociological study show that only a fifth of refugees plan to return to their homeland.

The results of a survey by the Ifo Institute in Munich showed that fewer and fewer Ukrainian citizens in Germany hope to return home due to the protracted war, NBN reports with reference to mdr.de.

According to researchers, last year in the summer 21% of Ukrainians admitted that they wanted to return to their homeland, while in 2022 such respondents were 46%.

Now 77% of respondents said that they intend to stay in Germany for the next two years, 2% of refugees plan to move from Germany to another country. At the same time, only a fifth of respondents want to return home.

39% of Ukrainian citizens said they definitely plan to live outside their native country. 29% of respondents admitted that they could imagine returning home when they could feel safe there. 28% of respondents were undecided on the answer.

Earlier, sociologists from the Razumkov Center told which of the foreign leaders the residents of our country relate to best.
