As NBN reports with reference to Suspilne, yesterday, on the instructions of Joe Biden, Presidential National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced an urgent security package worth three hundred million US dollars for Ukraine. It will contain weapons and equipment for the immediate needs of the Ukrainian state.
According to Sullivan, this was made possible due to unexpected savings in contracts that were entered into by the Department of Defense to replace weapons that the United States sent to Ukraine earlier.
The US National Security Advisor added that this emergency military aid package for Ukraine includes artillery shells, GMLRS missiles for HIMARS.
This is exactly what Ukraine needs now in order to hold the front lines under attacks from the Russian Federation and repel the offensive of the invaders in the East of the Ukrainian state, as well as other sectors of the front, — he added.
