As NBN reports with reference to European Pravda, Macron said this this evening during an interview with television channels TF1 and France 2.

So, according to according to Macron, under the current conditions, it is impossible to allow the Russian Federation to win a war that “is taking place on European soil.”

He emphasized:

What is happening on the territory of Ukraine? This war is existential for Europe and France. We have set a lot of restrictions, so to speak, in our vocabulary. We are not going to escalate, we are not in a state of war with the Russian Federation.

Macron added that if France is forced to send its troops to Ukraine, then “the only one who will bear the Kremlin regime will be responsible for this. It won't be us. We will never go on the offensive, we will never seize the initiative. But we need to look firmly at the situation with decisive will and the courage to say that we are ready to invest resources to achieve our goal, which is that the Russian Federation does not win.”

We recall that Macron earlier announced the condition for sending French troops to Ukraine.
