The ISW analytical material reports that certain military, financial and economic indicators indicate that the Russian Federation is preparing for a large-scale conflict with the North Atlantic Alliance using weapons, NBN reports.
Experts noted that the aggressor country, apparently, did not face a financial crisis. The Kremlin has increased military spending and continues to try to circumvent international sanctions.
ISW drew attention to the forecast of Polish leader Anzdej Duda that Putin is transferring the Russian economy to a military footing in order to attack the Alliance in two or three years. Danish Defense Minister Troels Poulsen previously reported that intelligence data indicates the Russians intend to attack NATO within three to five years.
In addition to Moscow's efforts to stabilize the economy and finances, it also intends to carry out reforms to increase combat capabilities its army and the long-term development of Russia's military potential, as stated by the head of the defense department Sergei Shoigu at the board of the Russian Defense Ministry.
ISW previously reported that the Kremlin is making efforts to create a military bloc with friendly countries to confront the West.
