The Polish Ministry of Defense explained why they did not shoot down a Russian missile that crossed the country’s borders on March 24

On the fact that US aviation, as well as aircraft and air defense of a neighboring country, could eliminate the missile of a terrorist state only under certain conditions, writes NBN, citing the explanation of the adviser to the Polish Ministry of Defense Mieczyslaw Benek , published in the local publication Wiadomosci.

According to Benek, both anti-aircraft missile defense systems and two pairs of F16 fighters (Polish and American) would have had time to shoot down the enemy target, but the missiles and the systems located by the pilots on board needed both time and a “reason”—the intruder object had to go “deeper and threaten” (a Russian missile flew into Poland on the 1- 2 kilometers at an altitude of 400 meters, for 39 seconds.

Earlier, our information portal wrote that today, March 24, the Russian army repeatedly fired missiles at the territory of the Lviv region.
