The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, sees Telegram as a problem for the country’s national security. At the same time, the military leader believes that the popular messenger can be used in favor of the state.

The head of the Main Investigation Department of the Municipal Educational Institution noted that many Ukrainians use Telegram, which has a destructive effect within the country, but at the same time this messenger helps convey something to people on HERE.
NBN reports this with reference to the Center for Strategic Communications.
The lieutenant general explained that from the point of view of national security, Telegram is a problem, which needs to be understood. The military leader noted that anyone can create a channel in the messenger and publish whatever they want there, covering their activities with “freedom of speech” for the media. Budanov added that in fact it is “called a little differently.”
Earlier, former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov spoke about the dangers of the messenger, naming the main requirement for the activities of Telegram channels.
