According to Syrsky, if Zelensky decided to appoint a new commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the active phase of the war, he had good reasons for this, NBN reports.
The general recalled that he worked with Zaluzhny even before February 24, 2022 and he will use all the knowledge and experience gained during this period to increase the effectiveness of the actions of the Defense Forces and maximize the defeat of strike groups of the Russian Armed Forces.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the entire composition of the General Staff of Ukraine and other military bodies was updated with combat officers who have practical experience.
Also in the interview, Syrsky explained the withdrawal of defenders from Avdiivka, Donetsk region, naming the reasons for such a decision.
