By the end of March, vegetables from the “borscht set” fell in price in Ukraine

In the last days of the first spring month, the price tags for domestic agricultural products on the shelves of large chain stores in our country were unexpectedly adjusted.

About how supermarkets in Ukraine have revised the cost of popular vegetables, writes NBN, citing on price monitoring of the Ministry of Finance.

In particular, as of Saturday, March 30, one kilogram of potatoes, on average, is sold at a price of 25.5 hryvnia. At the same time, the cheapest irreplaceable vegetable in Auchan is 22.2 hryvnia/kilogram, and in MegaMarket the root vegetable will cost 30 hryvnia/kilogram.

However, young cabbage, on the contrary, has not fallen in price, but has risen somewhat in price when compared with the white cabbage variety, the price of which decreased from 15.27 hryvnia/kilogram to 13.68 hryvnia/kg ;hryvnia/kilogram. In turn, the young variety increased in price from 68.35 hryvnia/kilogram to 69.9 hryvnia/kilogram.

Average price tags for carrots by the end of March “sank” from 13.92 hryvnia/kilogram to 11.23 hryvnia/kilogram: in Auchan—from 8 ,9 hryvnia/kilogram, and in MegaMarket from 16.2 hryvnia/kilogram.
