RBC-Ukraine, citing sources in the intelligence services, reported that the ship that burned yesterday in the west of the terrorist state , – the small missile ship of the Russian Navy “Serpukhov”, informs “NBN”.
According to the media interlocutor, the combat ship of the “second army of the world” was located at the Baltiysk naval base in the Kaliningrad region, where there was a fire. Journalists note that the source did not specify the cause of the fire of the ship.
The Russians named the missile ship after the city of Serpukhov; it was launched on April 3, 2015. Until the end of 2016, this corvette of the Russian Navy was part of the Black Sea Fleet, and since 2017 it has been part of the Baltic Fleet.
