About that electricity tariffs require some increase, writes NBN, citing a statement by the Deputy Head of the Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities Services of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexey Kucherenko, published by Apostrophe.
According to Kucherenko, now energy supply companies are not able to carry out the necessary programs, because they have lost a serious amount of generation and have big problems, and that is why it is important that household consumers pay at least the cost of electricity.
In particular, tariffs will not rise to market value, but according to Kucherenko’s calculations, and the answers he received “at the time” from the Cabinet of Ministers, the new tariff will be about 3.5 hryvnia/one kilowatt -hour.
The Deputy Head of the Utilities Committee emphasized:
I have known this figure for a long time and it is no coincidence that now and in There is a discussion going on around it in the government.
Earlier, we wrote about an expert talking about whether it is possible to raise gas tariffs due to Russian attacks on underground storage facilities.
