Kuleba commented on the suspension of consular services abroad for Ukrainian men

On Tuesday, April 23, Ukrainian consulates abroad suspend the provision of services to men of military age. Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba commented on the corresponding decision of Kyiv.

From today, until the Ukrainian consulates receive clarifications on the provisions of the new law on mobilization, men of military age will be able to use only one service – paperwork for returning to their homeland, NBN reports.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the corresponding order for diplomatic departments of Ukraine abroad on his page on the social network, Kh. Kuleba emphasized that in conditions of war, Ukraine’s priority is its protection from the destruction of the Russian Federation.

According to the diplomat, Ukrainian men who left the country making it clear that they do not care about the survival of their homeland and cannot count on the provision of services by the state abroad.

The Minister recalled that men of military age were required to update their documents in the TCC before February 24, 2022, emphasizing that staying abroad does not relieve a citizen of his responsibilities to his homeland.

The head of the Foreign Ministry added that he ordered the suspension of the provision of consular services to men of military age and considers this decision fair.

Previously, the head of the Foreign Ministry named the condition under which Ukraine would consider abandoning attacks on oil refineries in the Russian Federation.
