That regular strikes by Ukrainian kamikaze drones, including a series of recent floods in the aggressor country, have reduced the volume of weekly Russian oil refining to 11-month minimums, NBN writes, citing the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) .

In particular, as of the middle of this month, 5.22 million barrels of crude oil were distilled in the Russian Federation every day, which is 10,000 barrels less than the identical figure at the beginning of April. In addition, at the beginning of this year, the terrorist state processed only 1.23 million barrels of “black gold” per day at the refineries later hit by Ukrainian drones (280,000 barrels/day less than by the end January). Also, as of April 2, 14 percent of the entire oil refining industry in the Russian Federation was disabled by kamikaze drone strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition to all of the above, a dam break and flooding of the territory of the Orenburg region forced the local oil refinery to promptly shut down work on April 7 for a short-term period (until April 23), which, for some time, forced Moscow to begin importing gasoline from Kazakhstan. Belarus, in order to eliminate the shortage and prevent the increase in the domestic cost of this motor fuel. However, there are currently no signs indicating that a drop in the rate of Russian gasoline production will become a significant prerequisite that could provoke an increase in corresponding prices on the international market.

However, ISW analysts emphasized the continuation of attacks by Ukrainian drones , will be able to disable and destroy a key share of Russian oil refining capacity, while simultaneously imposing critical restrictions on the scale of oil refining in the Russian Federation.

Earlier, we wrote about the fact that ISW commented on the threats Shoigu to intensify attacks on Ukraine in response to US assistance.
