The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen told when Kyiv will receive F-16 multirole fighters from Copenhagen, saying that it complicates aviation supplies.

The Danish diplomat in an interview with RBC-Ukraine recalled that that his country's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen recently visited Lviv. During the visit, the head of government said that F-16 fighters should arrive in Ukraine this summer, NBN reports.
According to the ambassador, there are difficulties with the supply of Western aviation, since aircraft are only one of their components , in addition to this, there is a whole system for providing and servicing fighter aircraft.
Mikkelsen said that in August 2023, at an airbase in his country, when the head of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky visited Denmark, he met with some pilots of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The pilots told him that they really want to start using the F-16.
The diplomat added that he is optimistic about the transfer of fighters and is confident that combat aircraft will soon appear in Ukraine and will be ready for operation.
