After large-scale attacks by the Russian occupation army on energy facilities in the Kharkov region, residents of this region were forced to switch to alternative sources of electricity, and the resource is now more expensive – 1 kilowatt/hour generated by generators costs not 2.64 hryvnia, and 13.5 hryvnia.

About the fact that, due to the difficulties described above, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to increase the amount of social assistance for the current unheated season for residents of Kharkov and the region, writes NBN, referring to the official page of the Ministry of Social Policy.
How it became known, in order to adequately support the population of the region, the amounts of social assistance will increase in the order below, in the period from May to September 2024:
- subsidy payments – co 106 hryvnia up to 530 hryvnia/monthly;
- preferential “discounts” – from 74 hryvnia to 370 hryvnia/monthly.
At the same time, to assign enhanced subsidies/benefits, you won’t need to apply anywhere—the Pension Fund will update the amounts automatically.
