Not long ago, the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, informed that Ukraine has a “mobilization” resource of prisoners, up to 20,000 people, who will be able to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine if they wish to conclude a contract.

About the fact that the decision regarding the mobilization of an individual convict will directly depend not so much on his personal wishes, but also on the elements of the crime committed/the conclusion of the military medical commission/court order, including the willingness of the commander to take such a person on ;service in a controlled unit, writes NBN, referring to the explanation of the speaker of the defense department Dmitry Lazutkin, aired on the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In in particular, they will never take in ranks of the Defense Forces of those convicted who “distinguished themselves” by committing:
- crimes against the foundations of the national security of their country;
- deliberate murders of two or more people, identical atrocities with special cruelty, and/or associated with rape/sexual violence;
- crimes against “gender” freedom/personal integrity;
- crimes related to terrorism;
- violation Traffic rules (traffic rules) in a state of any kind of intoxication, if they caused the death of several people;
- murder/attempted murder of a law enforcement officer/military;
- particularly serious corruption crimes.
