O  that Ukraine managed to return from Russian captivity only a little more than 150 civilians, whom enemies had taken hostage under any pretext since 2014, NBN writes, citing statistics announced by Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets for Ukrinform. .

According to Lubinets, he does not have statistical data for individual regions, since “there are immediately” those who compare the figures and assert that the ombudsman works more there, and there  – less.

However, in reality everything is different. In particular, according to relevant information, there are currently more than 14,000 civilian hostages on Russian territory – of which, through the efforts of Kyiv and the intermediaries, only 161 people were returned.

Previously our information the portal wrote about how Lubinets explained the difficulty of returning Ukrainian civilians who are in captivity in the Russian Federation.
