Russia develops ground-based systems for launching Kalibrs — Pletenchuk

After Ukraine “dispersed” the Russian fleet in the Black Sea with regular attacks by aquadrones, forcing the enemy’s naval groups to redeploy to the Azov and Mediterranean seas, the invaders began to use sea-based Calibers and Onyxes less, but, apparently, the occupiers have already found a way out of the situation.

About the fact that the aggressor country is developing a ground-based version of the complexes that will make it possible to launch ship-based modifications of the Kalibr and Oniks cruise missiles, writes NBN, referring to the statement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Naval Forces speaker Dmitry Pletenchuk, sounded during a telethon on the TSN YouTube channel.

According to Pletenchuk, “Calibers” remain a rather dangerous type of weapon, equipped with a combat component in  450 kilograms, however, the percentage of “landing” of these missiles of our air defense is also very high due to the predictability of the target trajectory.

Taking into account the above-described losses of fired missiles, the Russian generals took into account this experience and decided to build standardized silos for launches , intended for both “Caliber” and “Onyx”.

The speaker added that the terrorist state is using “Caliber” in an attempt to overload the air defense during the period of combined missile and drone attacks, but the priority is to hit targets is now aimed specifically at rocket weapons.

Earlier, we wrote about how Pletenchuk explained why the Defense Forces do not hit Russian ships in the Sea of Azov.
