During the press conference, the Ukrainian leader recalled that before the offensive of Putin’s army in the north of the Kharkov region, our country had been waiting for almost 8 months for a package of military assistance from the United States, which became a serious challenge for it, informs “ NBN.”
According to the guarantor, he does not want to compare Syrsky and Zaluzhny. Zelensky noted that he treats everyone with respect and everyone fulfills their task. The President admitted that it is difficult for him to say what would have happened if the command of the Defense Forces had not changed, noting that this is a post-war issue.
The leader of the Ukrainians does not believe that if anyone had been in place the current commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there would have been no breakthrough of the invaders in the north of the Kharkov region. The head of state believes that the occupiers would have carried out this offensive anyway, since they want to take control of the regional center.
Zelensky added that the advantage of Syrsky’s appointment was his knowledge of this region, since the deoccupation of the region took place under his command.
Also during the press conference, the president spoke about the possible dismissal of Shmygal.
