Berlin secretly transferred a new batch of military aid to Kyiv at the end of June – beginning of July, which included 39 tanks, NBN reports with reference to the German publication Merkur.
In addition, the Ukrainian side recently received from Germany another 10 Leopard 1A5 tanks and 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles. Also in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeared ammunition for these armored vehicles, 4 Wisent 1 mine clearance tanks, and 2 Biber bridge-laying tanks, Dachs engineering tanks and evacuation tanks.
The German authorities sent to protect Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure from air attacks by the occupying forces of the Russian Federation, 2 more air defense systems – IRIS-T SLM and IRIS-T SLS.
The list of weapons provided by Germany also included 3 HIMARS MLRS.
