Adviser to the Mariupol mayor Pyotr Andryushchenko reported that on the night of Tuesday, July 16, explosions occurred in the temporarily captured city. At 23:34, the adviser to the city mayor wrote in his Telegram channel that more than five explosions were recorded in Mariupol. A few minutes later, Andryushchenko clarified that the “popping” continues, they can be heard in all areas of the city, NBN reports.

Around midnight, the official reported at least two flights between the Nevsky microdistrict and Agrobaza in the direction of Mangush. The mayor's adviser noted that due to the nature of the attack, it was likely that the air defense base of the “second army of the world” was first exposed, and then the air defense installations themselves “accepted gifts.”

Andryushchenko clarified that, according to preliminary information, in near the villages of Belosarayskaya Kosa and Melekino, there is data on arrivals and falling debris has been recorded.

The official also added that after the explosions, some areas of Mariupol were without power.
