About the fact that Athens intends to abandon dozens of outdated modifications of F-16 fighters in order to sell them to Washington for subsequent transfer to Kiev, writes NBN, citing the AlJazeera material.
As it became known, Greece will decommission 32 of the old multirole F-16 Block-30, as this country is preparing to modernize 82 identical combat aircraft to the Block-70 type, not counting the upcoming acquisition 24 fourth-generation Rafale fighters in Paris.
Thus, the Greek government chose the indirect process of transferring 32 fighters to Ukraine, since it seeks to first sell them to the United States, and only then Ukraine will receive the F-16.
