At about 08:40, local publics reported that it was loud in Lugansk – more than five strong explosions thundered in the city. Soon, footage of the aftermath of the “bavovna” in the area of the aviation school began to be published online.

The so-called deputy of the “People's Council of the LPR” Yuri Yurov complained about a missile strike on the city, accusing attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, NBN reports.
The occupiers claim that the shelling was carried out by ballistics. The invaders' air defense supposedly shot down all three ATACMS missiles, but as a result of falling shell fragments, the “forest belt” caught fire. The “authorities” claim that the strike resulted in no deaths or injuries.
Other sources write that, according to preliminary information, the arrival took place at a helipad in the area of the highest military aviation school.
Recall that that Lugansk was previously hit by ballistics on June 7. The head of the OVA Artem Lysogor commented on the attack.
