The fact that such statements by Moscow regarding the potential deployment of more nuclear missiles in response cause a certain degree of concern in Washington, writes NBN, citing an explanation voiced by US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel during a broadcast on Reuters' YouTube channel.
According to Patel, any rhetoric by the Russian Federation regarding the use or deployment of nuclear warheads provokes increased concern in the United States, “and is something we will continue to pay close attention to.”
The State Department Deputy Spokesman added that the terrorist state regularly does and says similar things, often hitting itself in the chest—in particularly, over a fairly long period of time, “starting even from the first months of their aggression in Ukraine.”
Patel summed up:
That’s why I simply don’t want to speculate. But we, of course, continue to closely monitor the situation.
