Zelensky explained under what conditions the “hot phase” of the war in Ukraine will end before the end of 2024

In the first ten days of May, the Russian occupation forces intensified their offensive, first in the northern part of the Kharkov region, and later the invaders began intensive attempts to advance on almost all sectors of the front – the war entered the so-called “hot phase.”

About the fact that the entire world community needs to increase pressure on the Russian Federation – only such actions will convince the Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin to sit down at the negotiating table and think about the possibility of ending the war against Ukraine, writes NBN, citing an explanation President Vladimir Zelensky, published by the BBC.

According to Zelensky, not all territories of Ukraine should be recaptured by force, since in the current scenario, diplomacy can also be used to return the occupied regions or cease fire.

The President of Ukraine added that provided that the Western allied countries remain strong, then the “hot phase” of the war with the Russian Federation, apparently, will end before the end of this year. At the same time, weakening Russia on the battlefield will move Ukraine to a much stronger position at the negotiating table.

Zelensky summed up:

By putting pressure on Russia, I believe that we can agree to a diplomatic settlement.

We wrote earlier about that Zelensky warned European leaders against attempts to arrange “peace negotiations” behind Ukraine’s back.
