The fact that the above document, supposedly aimed at increasing the efficiency of concluding agreements regarding the recognition of guilt in criminal proceedings for corruption crimes, is already being assessed by experts of the European Commission, writes “NBN”, referring to a statement by Deputy Prime Minister for European/Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishina, published by Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Stefanishina, such agreements regarding the admission of guilt — a very common worldwide practice, which is already partially used in Ukraine.

However, since the existing mechanism is not effective, the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2023-2025 (Ukraine Facility) will soon be launched.

In addition, Kiev will prepare a report on Ukraine within the framework of the Expansion Package, which is included in the list of necessary reforms of the country's structures, previously agreed upon with European partners.

Previously, our information portal wrote about  how the Ministry of Justice commented on this controversial bill.
