In particular, residents of Donetsk are recording interruptions in water supplies, since the Seversky Donets-Donbass water supply system is not functioning due to intensified hostilities . Trying to solve this problem, the occupiers spent two years building a bypass water supply system from the Don River, but its capacity does not allow them to resolve the difficulties with water supply: a vital resource in the temporarily captured city is supplied in accordance with the schedules.
In addition, due to constant power outages in the Russian Federation, a number of pumping stations of the newly built canal simply went out of order, that is, the water supply system stopped completely. To carry out repair work, the Russians need months and the situation with water in the occupied territories has only worsened.
