NBN writes about what Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico told his Ukrainian counterpart Denis Shmygal regarding the blockade carried out by Kiev, citing materials from TASR and Reuters agencies.

As the media learned, Fico criticized the introduction of sanctions against Lukoil, due to which Ukraine cut off oil supplies from the Russian Federation to Hungary, since Russian oil is used by the Slovak oil refinery Slovnaft.

By  According to the Slovak prime minister, his country does not want to be held hostage in Ukrainian-Russian relations, and Zelensky’s decision means that Slovnaft, part of the Hungarian holding MOL, will be able to receive 40 percent less “black gold” than necessary for the stability of the distillation process.

Fico emphasized that the crisis described above could provoke a cessation of supplies to Ukraine of fuel produced by Slovnaft, which “accounts for almost a tenth of all Ukrainian consumption.”

Previously Our information portal wrote that without Russian oil supplies, Hungary is facing an energy crisis.
