The city mayor in an interview with RBC- Ukraine” spoke about the heat and energy supply of Kharkov residents in winter, taking into account the serious destruction of the relevant infrastructure due to attacks by Russian invaders, NBN reports.

According to the official, the invaders destroyed all the thermal power plants and transformer substation that were in regional center and from which it was powered. For this reason, the city does not have a single kilowatt of its own generation.

Terehov said that in order to solve the corresponding problem, Kharkov is working on decentralizing energy, water and heat supplies. To ensure that citizens primarily receive water, low-power cogeneration units and gas generators will be installed.

The mayor added that in addition to this, block-modular boiler houses will also be installed throughout the regional center. Thanks to BMK, the homes of Kharkov residents will have heating in the cold season.

The head of the city noted that the leadership of Kharkov has worked out steps in case of a blackout and is doing everything possible to ensure that there is heat supply in the regional center in winter.

As reported, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba named five steps to improve the situation in the energy system of Ukraine.
