As NBN reports with a link to the official Facebook account of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, no more than 10 women who had previously served sentences in penitentiary institutions decided to enter into contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in exchange for parole.

According to the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Justice Elena Vysotskaya, thanks to the adoption by Parliament of the law on the mobilization of convicted persons, which provides for the possibility of sending not only men, but also women, to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, previously “punished” Ukrainian women reconsidered their position regarding service in the army.

In particular, now there are decisions regarding the first seven ex-convicts who dared to conclude a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These women successfully passed the military medical commission and have already received consent/compliance from the command of military units to serve in certain units of the Defense Forces.

We previously wrote about how Zelensky said that is thinking about the idea of selecting Ukrainians for mobilization through a lottery.
