A rather unique situation has formed in Ukraine – the shortage of funds in the budget has reached the “largest” values in the world, since state expenses are 2 times higher than income, and, as it became known, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to reduce such a gap, “freezing” the amount of various types of social assistance and pensions.

As reported by NBN with a link to the statement of Pavel Frolov (member of the parliamentary committee on budget issues), published by Novyny.LIVE, despite the fact that the size of social standards is prescribed In the corresponding law, people's deputies will try to prevent the “freezing” of payment amounts, despite the difficult financial climate in Ukraine.

According to Frolov, the “freezing” of social standards is an open position of the government, based on the  the capabilities available to the Cabinet of Ministers. However, a member of the committee is confident that the final decision will remain with the parliament, since the people’s representatives will do everything “to prevent this.”

Frolov emphasized, even if the “freeze” affects only one category of the population in the region ;Ukraine, of internally displaced persons, then such citizens will actually have two options: either to leave for Western countries, or to return to home in temporarily occupied territories, which is absolutely unacceptable.

Earlier, we wrote that the Ministry of Social Policy informed which pensioners will continue to receive additional payments from the UN.
